Festival of the vow in Pontelongo

The city stops to reconfirm the vow made on the first Sunday of May 1676, when there was the deliverance from the plague.

In the morning takes place the solemn mass.

In the afternoon begins the traditional procession, during which the statue of The Virgin is carried on the shoulders of 12 barefoot carriers, through the streets and across the wood bridge built for the event.
